April is Autism Awareness & Acceptance Month

Highlands County has added a light blue pinwheel to the Child Abuse Prevention pinwheel gardens to highlight children who have been diagnosed with autism. Children with autism are nearly 2 1/2 times more likely to experience abuse or neglect than those without autism related disabilities. Please join us in celebrating and protecting all our local kids.
