Children’s Advocacy Center

The Children’s Advocacy Center was developed by the Champion for Children Foundation to be a central hub for preventative and intervention services to the families of Highlands county. Now operated by Heartland for Children, we work closely with the various organizations and child welfare professionals that use this space.

Safehouse

Founded by the Champion for Children Foundation over a decade ago, the Domestic Violence Safehouse in Highlands county is operated by Peace River Center. Thousands of women and children have found solace in this place of healing and rehabilitation.
